Sending LYTH

This guide covers how to send LYTH tokens to other addresses.

Before You Start​

Ensure you have:

  • A wallet with LYTH balance
  • Recipient's address (Cosmos or EVM format)
  • Small amount of LYTH for gas fees

Using MetaMask (EVM)​

Send to EVM Address​

  1. Open MetaMask
  2. Ensure you're on a Monolythium network
  3. Click Send
  4. Enter recipient address (0x...)
  5. Enter amount
  6. Review gas fees
  7. Click Confirm

Send to Cosmos Address​

MetaMask can only send to EVM (0x...) addresses. To send to a Cosmos (mono1...) address:

  1. Convert the Cosmos address to EVM format, or
  2. Use a Cosmos wallet instead

Using Keplr (Cosmos)​

Send to Any Address​

  1. Open Keplr
  2. Select Monolythium network
  3. Click Send
  4. Enter recipient address (accepts both formats)
  5. Enter amount
  6. Set gas (auto recommended)
  7. Click Send

Using CLI​

Cosmos Send​

monod tx bank send <from-key> <to-address> <amount>alyth \

Example:

Multi-Send​

Send to multiple recipients in one transaction:

  --chain-id <chain-id>

Transaction Fees​

Sending LYTH costs gas:

90% of fees are burned, 10% go to stakers.

Confirmation Time​

  • Block time: ~2 seconds
  • Finality: Instant (deterministic)

Once confirmed, the transaction is final and irreversible.

Common Issues​

Insufficient Balance​

Error: insufficient funds

Ensure you have enough LYTH for both the transfer amount AND gas fees.

Invalid Address​

Error: invalid address

  • Check for typos
  • Verify the address format matches the tool you're using
  • Cosmos addresses start with mono1
  • EVM addresses start with 0x

Transaction Pending​

If a transaction seems stuck:

  1. Check the mempool status
  2. Verify gas price is sufficient
  3. Wait a few blocks

Wrong Network​

Sending to an address on the wrong network (e.g., mainnet address on testnet):

  • Tokens are not recoverable across networks
  • Always verify the network before sending

Security Tips​

  1. Double-check addresses - Verify every character
  2. Start small - Test with a small amount first
  3. Use address book - Save frequently-used addresses
  4. Verify network - Confirm you're on the correct network
  5. Check gas - Ensure gas settings are reasonable
