Governance Parameters

What can governance change:

  • Staking parameters (unbonding time, max validators)
  • Slashing parameters
  • Distribution parameters
  • Governance parameters themselves

What governance cannot change (requires upgrade):

  • Fee burn ratio (90/10)
  • Inflation schedule (milestone-based)
  • Guard threshold

Best Practices

  1. Read proposals carefully before voting
  2. Participate in discussions on community channels
  3. Consider validator votes (validators vote on your behalf if you don't)
  4. Vote before deadline to ensure your voice is counted

FAQ

If I don't vote, what happens?

Your validator votes on your behalf. If the validator doesn't vote, your stake doesn't count toward the proposal.

Can I change my vote?

Yes, you can change your vote until the voting period ends.

What if the deposit isn't reached?

The proposal fails and deposits are returned.

Where can I discuss proposals?

Check official community channels for governance discussions.
